    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap “Settings” in the top-right corner of the screen
    3. Access the “General” tab
    4. Scroll to “Phone management” and tap “Battery & power saving”
    5. Tap the “Power saver” switch to “ON”
    6. Enable or disable the available battery saving options, and select a battery percentage at which the mode should enable automatically

    Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

    1. On the home screen, drag the “Notification” bar down
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “General” tab
    4. Scroll to “Smart functions”
    5. Tap the “Smart settings” slider to “OFF”

    Adjust Video Quality in Games:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Access the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & Power saving”
    4. Tap the “Game optimizer” slider to “OFF”

    Disable Connectivity When Unused:

    NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “Networks” tab
    4. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering”
    5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and turn off the option
    6. Return to “Settings”
    7. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to disable these features
    8. Under “Personal”, tap “Location” (GPS)
    9. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving (networks only)”

    Switch to 2G Connectivity:

    NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery life and you want to preserve it until the next recharge, you can temporarily switch to 2G connectivity. To do this:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Go to the “Networks” tab
    3. Under “Connectivity”, tap “More”
    4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    5. Enable “GSM only”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Go to the “Networks” tab
    3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Restrict background data” and tap “OK”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third party applications on your phone can affect battery life even when unused, due to the fact that some applications perform background processes even when unused. Thus, by removing or disabling unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Go to the “General” tab
    4. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
    5. Go to the “Downloaded” tab
    6. Tap and hold the desired application
    7. Tap “Uninstall” to remove the app, or tap “Force stop” to disable it

    Lowering Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap the “Display” tab
    3. Tap “Brightness” under “Basic settings”
    4. Drag the “Brightness” slider to the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Change App Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By changing the sync settings for your apps / accounts to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Access the “General” tab
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & Sync”
    4. Disable “Auto-sync Data”
    5. Select an application under “Accounts” and change the available sync settings as desired
