    Clear App Data / Cache:

NOTE: In case one of your applications doesn’t work as intended, it freezes, crashes, or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these problems by clearing the application’s cache or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal data stored within the app, such as credit card and login information, profiles, saved games, high scores, settings etc. will be lost. To avoid losing this data, try fixing the issues by clearing only the application’s cache.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
    2. In the upper-right corner, tap “Settings
    3. Access the “General” tab
    4. Tap “Apps
    5. Swipe to “All” and select the desired application
    6. Tap “Clear cache
    7. If necessary, tap “Clear data” > “Yes” (Check the WARNING above)

    Reboot to Safe Mode:

NOTE: In case you have installed a third party application that causes problems on your phone and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to remove the app from within Safe Mode. When you reboot your phone into Safe Mode, all third party applications will be disabled.

    1. Wake up the screen
    2. On the home screen, press and hold “Power
    3. At the power option pop-up, tap and hold “Power off
    4. When prompted to “Restart in Safe Mode”, tap “OK
    5. Wait for the phone to reboot and once done, you should see a “Safe mode” label in the lower-left corner of the screen
    6. To remove an app, first open the “Settings” menu
    7. Access “General
    8. Tap “Apps” and go to the “Downloaded” tab
    9. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK
    10. To exit safe mode, press & hold “Power” and tap “Power off and restart

    Clear Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as it should, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the cache partition. Doing so can have similar effects as a factory reset without losing any personal data on the phone’s internal memory.

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings
    3. Tap “General
    4. Go to “Storage” and wait for the phone to finish calculating the data
    5. Tap “Cached data” > “Yes” to confirm
    6. Wait for the phone to clear the cache and, once done, you should see a lower amount (or no amount) of data under “Cache data

NOTE: If clearing the cache didn’t fix the problems, you can visit this thread for instructions on how you can factory reset the LG X Screen instead.
