Hey everyone. So i want to start by saying that i know that buying used phones off craigslist is probably not a good idea, but i guess i had to find that one out the hard way.
That being said...yeaterday, i made a trade to a guy on craigslist. I gave him my LG G4 with a shattered screen for 30 dollars and an LG Leon. Before i took the phone i put my sim card in it to make sure it worked and everything was fine. When i got home, i decided to do a factory reset on it using the power and volune down buttons method. But when i turned it back on and went to set it up, i learned about a new security feature that android devices now have. In order for me to use this phone, i now have to enter the email address and password for the account that was active on the phone before it was reset. Unfortunately, i am not going to be able to get this information. I have talked to the guy from craigslist, and for whatever reason, he is unable to give me the info. He claims it was his daughters phone, but thats beside the point.
I have been researching ways to bypass this step in the setup, and what i have figured out is that it seems there is a way to make this happen. I just have not had any luck finding the right method.
Hopefully someone on here can steer me in the right direction.
    Thanks in advance
    Chris
