I found out my call box will act like a cell phone and call me miles away. I wondered if the call box restricted how far out it would call. The gate opened too when I pressed the 9 button on my phone.

It's a new box they installed, so it's the latest in condo entry phone boxes. Will my phone ring if miles away, someone presses my name on my condo gate entry box? Or is it limited in some way to a local area around the condo? In essence, will that entry box act just like receiving a call on a cell phone?

Thanks if you can help. I don't have anyone to stand at my condo's front security gate to determine this.
