    Back Up App Data:

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap “Settings” in the top-right corner
    3. Go to “General”
    4. Tap “Backup & reset” and turn on “Back up my data”

    Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “notification” bar down
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
    4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
    5. Tap “Back up data”
    6. At the prompt select “LG Cloud” and sign in with your “LG Account”
    7. Enable “Personal data” and deselect the other options
    8. Expand the “Personal data” directory and select “Contacts”
    9. Tap “Start” and wait for the “Back up completed” pop-up
    10. Tap “Done”

    Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Open “Settings” and tap “General”
    2. Tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
    4. Tap “Back up data” and ensure “SD Card” is selected
    5. Select the items you wish to back up
    6. Tap “Start”
    7. When prompted with “Backup completed”, tap “Done”

    Back Up Media Files On Your Phone:

    1. Drag the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Access “General”
    4. Tap “Backup & reset”
    5. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
    6. Enable “Media data” and deselect the other non-media options
    7. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the files you want to back up
    8. Tap “Start” to begin the sync
    9. At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the LG G5 Lifestyle and computer
    2. When prompted, tap “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” on the phone, otherwise enable the option from the “notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the explorer to locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the desired files and paste them in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
