    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    4. To back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account, turn on “Back up my data”
    5. If you want app data to be restored automatically upon reinstallation, enable “Automatic Restore”

NOTE: App / account data and settings will be restored automatically when you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and select the account to use for syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is selected
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account. Otherwise enable “Contacts” in the account sync options and sync the account data.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the ZTE Grand X Max 2 to your computer via USB
    2. At the prompt, turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the ZTE device to your computer via USB
    2. When prompted, turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media file backups on your computer
    5. Transfer the files back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
    7. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
