    Android Assistant tool allows us to Back Up & Restore App Data, Contacts, and Media Files on Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro easily. After connect Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro to pc via usb cable, start the Android Assistant tool. Then you can easily backup & restore data on it with one-click.

    Back Up & Restore App / Account Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up account / app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and accounts settings to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow your account to restore data automatically upon signing in

    Back Up Contacts on a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screens
    2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    3. If there are any contacts on your phone that haven’t already been saved on your Samsung or Google account, tap “Move device contacts to”
    4. Open the apps drawer and go to “Settings”
    5. Tap “Accounts” and select the account you want to use for sync
    6. Tap “More” > “Sync now”

    Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Open “Apps”
    2. Go to “Contacts”
    3. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    4. If necessary, tap “Contacts to display” > “All contacts”
    5. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
    6. Select “Export to SD card”
    7. Review the backup file’s name for future use and tap “OK” to confirm

    Restore Contacts from SD Card:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Contacts”
    3. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    4. If necessary, tap “Contacts to display” and select “All contacts”
    5. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
    6. Select to “Import from SD card”
    7. Select the desired backup file to import and tap “OK”

    Back Up Media Files on the SD Card:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “My Files” and tap “Device storage”
    3. Tap “More” > “Edit”
    4. Locate the folders containing the desired audio files
    5. Check the boxes associated with the files / folders you want to back up
    6. Tap “More” > “Copy”
    7. Select “SD card”
    8. Navigate to the desired folder, if necessary, and tap “Paste here”

    Restore Media Files from SD:

    1. Launch “My Files”
    2. Tap “All files” > “SD card”
    3. Tap “More” > “Edit”
    4. Select the check box next to the media files you want to restore
    5. Tap “More” > “Move”
    6. Tap “Device storage” > “Move here”
    7. Alternatively, to move the files to another location, tap the folder name or tap ”Create folder”, then tap “Move here”

    Back Up & Restore Media Files Using a Windows Computer:

    1. On the computer, open the Internet browser
    2. Visit Samsung Smart Switch?
    3. Download and install Smart Switch on the computer
    4. Connect the Samsung device to your PC via USB
    5. Allow the computer to install any necessary USB drivers for your device
    6. On the phone, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt, otherwise enable the option from the “notification” area
    7. Open the File Explorer on the computer and navigate to the media files on your phone
    8. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
    9. When done, eject the phone storage via USB and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    NOTE: To restore media files from your computer, follow the steps above and then copy the file backups from the PC and back to the phone storage, preferably in the directories they originate from.

    Back Up Media Files Using a Mac Computer:

    1. On the Mac, open the Internet browser
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 For Mac” to download and install Kies on the computer
    4. Next, connect the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro to your Mac via USB
    5. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” on the phone, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
    6. Open Kies on the Mac
    7. Inside Kies, click the “Back up / restore” tab
    8. Click the “Backup” tab and select “Music”, “Photo”, and other types of media files you want to back up
    9. Click “Backup”
    10. Once the backup is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping the virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can”
    11. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files Using a Mac Computer:

    1. Follow the first 7 steps above
    2. Click the “Restore” tab
    3. Enable “Music”, “Photos”, and other types of media files you want to restore
    4. Click “Restore” and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
    5. After the restore is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can”
    6. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
