    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Access the “General” tab if necessary
    3. Swipe to “Phone management” and tap “Battery & power saving”
    4. Set the switch to “ON” and customize how the mode works by clearing / checking the boxes, and by selecting a battery percentage for auto Battery Saving mode

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access the “Settings” menu
    3. Tap the “Display” tab
    4. Scroll to “Other screen settings” and tap “Brightness”
    5. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
    6. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

Turn off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS:

NOTE: By turning off the phone’s connectivity features when they are unused, you can improve battery life in the long run. To do this:

    1. Tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
    2. If necessary, access the “Networks” tab
    3. Under “Connectivity”, tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot”
    4. Tap the switch to “OFF”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and tap the switches associated with “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” to turn off these features
    6. For additional GPS settings, tap “Location” > “Mode” and select “Battery saving (Networks only)”

    Switch to 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: If you don’t have access to a wall socket and your smartphone is running low on battery or you simply need to conserve battery life, you can switch to 2G connectivity.

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Go to the “Networks” tab
    3. Tap “More” under “Connectivity”
    4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    5. Select “GSM only”

    Turn Off Background Data:

    1. Go to “Settings” and, if necessary, access the “Networks” tab
    2. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
    3. Turn off “Restrict background data”
    4. Tap “OK”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party applications can affect battery life even when they are not actively used – due to the fact that certain apps perform regular background processes. As such, by turning off or removing unused third party apps you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Switch to the “General” tab if necessary
    3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
    4. Access the “Downloaded” tab
    5. Tap & hold the desired application and tap “Force stop” to disable it
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By reducing the amount of data being synced by your accounts, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & sync”
    3. Turn off “auto-sync data”
    4. In addition, you can adjust more sync settings under “Accounts”

    Keep the Firmware Updated:

NOTE: Certain updates can improve battery life, thus it’s recommended that you keep your phone up to date. To check for updates:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
    3. Tap “About phone” > “Update center”
    4. Tap “System updates” > “Check for update”
    5. If necessary, follow the on-screen steps to download and install the package
