    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow data to be restored upon signing in with your backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Go to “Settings
    2. Scroll to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above will be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Coolpad Catalyst to your computer via USB
    2. At the prompt, turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” , otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media files on the phone
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Coolpad Catalyst to your computer via USB
    2. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” or enable the option from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups
    4. Copy the files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory and the folders they originate from
    5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
