Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy C5 to your computer via USB
    2. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MPT)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, else enable the option from the “notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the desired audio files on the computer and copy them
    5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and / or “Notification” folder(s)
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
    7. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Head down to Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and install Kies on the computer
    4. Connect the Samsung Galaxy C5 to your Mac via USB
    5. Enable “Media device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac
    7. Click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
    8. Open the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
    9. Drag the files and drop them in Kies to start the transfer
    10. Once done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can” to eject it
    11. Safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Sounds and notifications”
    4. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    5. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
    6. Select “Sound picker” and tap “Always” or “Just once”
    7. Select the audio files you want to add and tap “Done”

    Change the Ringtone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Under “Device”, tap “Sounds & notifications”
    4. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones & sounds”
    5. Tap “Ringtone”
    6. Select the desired ringtone and press “Back” to apply the changes

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the internal memory.

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Select the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK” > “Save”

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Sounds & notifications”
    4. Tap “Ringtones and sound” under “Sounds”
    5. Select a notification type
    6. Select the desired notification sound and tap “Back” to confirm the changes
