    Enable Power Saver Mode:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Power”
    4. Tap “Power saver” and check the boxes associated with the options you want to enable during Power Saver Mode
    5. Tap the “Power Saver” switch to ON

    Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone”
    3. Tap “Display & Gestures”
    4. Tap “Brightness level” and, if needed, disable “Automatic brightness”
    5. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
    6. Go back to “Display & Gestures” and tap “Screen timeout”
    7. Select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap the switches associated with “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” to disable these features
    3. Under “Wireless & Networks”, tap “More”
    4. Tap “Mobile network sharing” and disable “Mobile hotspot”
    5. Go back to “Settings”
    6. Under “Personal”, tap “Location” (GPS) > “Mode”
    7. Select “Battery Saving”

    Switch to 2G Connectivity:

    NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Mobile data”
    3. Tap “Network mode”
    4. Select “GSM only”

    Change Sync Settings And Disable Background Data:

    NOTE: By changing the sync settings to reduce the amount of synced data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts & Sync”
    3. Select an app to disable background sync
    4. For more sync options, select an account type and account

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background process, and thus they can affect battery life even when unused. To maximize battery life you can disable or remove unused third party apps.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Apps” under “Phone”
    4. Go to “Downloaded”
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Disable” to turn the app OFF
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Keep the Firmware Updated:

    NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements, and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “About” under “Phone”
    3. Tap “Software information”
    4. Press “Check Now” and, if an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply it (NOTE: This process may require a reboot)
