Turn On Device Lock:

1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
2. Open “Settings”
3. Scroll to and tap “Display”
4. Tap “Lock screen” > “Select lock screen”
5. Choose the lock screen option you want to use
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the desired lock screen option

Change Device Lock PIN:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Tap “Display”
3. Tap “Lock Screen” > “Select screen lock”
4. Tap “PIN” and enter the new PIN
5. Tap “Continue”
6. Enter the PIN a second time to confirm
7. Press “OK”

Change Device Lock Password:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
3. Tap “Select lock screen”
4. Tap “Passwords”
5. Enter the new password and tap “Continue”
6. Enter the password again for confirmation
7. Tap “OK” to confirm

Turn Off the Lock Screen:

1. Go to “Settings”
2. Tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
3. Tap “Select screen lock”
4. Select “None”
5. Enter your current PIN / password / pattern to confirm and proceed

Enable or Disable Emergency Alerts:

1. Tap “Messaging” on the home screen
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Go to “Advanced settings”
4. Tap “More”
5. Access “Emergency alerts”
6. Turn “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts”, and / or “AMBER alerts” On or Off

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
