    NOTE: You can visit this thread for instructions on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files on the HTC 10 Lifestyle.

    Restore App Data:

    1. Ensure the phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
    2. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset”
    5. Tap “Restore from HTC Backup”
    6. Follow the on-screen steps to select a backup account and complete the restore

    Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Accounts & Sync” under “Personal”
    3. Sign in with the Google account used for the initial backup
    4. Go to the sync settings of your account and ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync all”

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC 10 Lifestyle to your computer via USB
    2. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise turn the option On from the “notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media file backups and copy them
    5. Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC 10 Lifestyle to the Mac via USB
    2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt, or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Finder on the Mac
    4. Locate the media file backups on the Mac and copy them
    5. Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can”
    7. Safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
