Sync iPhone Contacts With a Google Account via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data including contacts, with the Alcatel Dawn.

    1. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
    2. Open iTunes on the computer and access the “Info” section
    3. Turn on “Sync Contacts With”
    4. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts”
    5. Sign in with your Google account or, alternatively, you can click “Configure” and select an existing account
    6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
    7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Alcatel device, sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes, and allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the iPhone contacts in vCard format for Android use.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
    3. Access “Contacts”
    4. Select the contacts you wish to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
    5. Wait for the vCard file to be created and downloaded on the computer
    6. Next, transfer the vCard to your Android phone using one of the two methods below:
      • Import the vCard file using “Google Contacts”, or:
      • Connect the Alcatel Dawn to your computer using the USB cable, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it using “Contacts”

    Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Both methods above require the user to have access to a computer with an active Internet connection, but iPhone contacts can also be transferred using only third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

    1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
    2. Open the application
    3. Tap “Backup” to create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
    4. Once done, tap “Email”
    5. Make sure the vCard is attached to the email, and send it to your own address
    6. Switch to the Alcatel Dawn and open the email
    7. Download the attached vCard, and use “Contacts” to import it

    Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party application you can use is Send Anywhere, on both iOS and Android platforms. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types, cross platform, without requiring a computer.

    1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
    2. From the Google Play Store, install the app on the Alcatel Dawn
    3. Launch the app on both devices
    4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
    5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send” again
    6. Choose the desired transfer method, for example, tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Alcatel Dawn’s camera to begin the transfer, or tap “Receive” on the Android phone and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone manually
