    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings
    3. Scroll to “Personal
    4. Tap “Backup & reset
    5. To back up app data, passwords, and settings to your Google account, enable “Back up my data
    6. To allow app data to be restored upon reinstalling said applications, make sure “Automatic Restore” is enabled

    Back Up Contacts On Your Google Account:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing contacts
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: To restore contacts, sign in with your Google account on your phone, and if you are not prompted to restore contacts, follow the same steps above to sync account data with your phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the ZTE Axon 7 mini and your computer
    2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media files on your phone, then transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the ZTE Axon 7 mini to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from “Notifications
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
