    Back Up Data to Google Drive:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” > “Backup account”
    3. Select “HTC Account” and, if necessary, sign in with your HTC account (or a Google account)
    4. In the “Cloud Storage” menu, tap “Google Drive”
    5. Tap “OK” and sign in with your Google account to access Google Drive
    6. Turn on “Automatic Backup” or tap “Back up now” to back up data manually

    NOTE: To allow daily auto backups over Wi-Fi, access “Settings” and go to “Back up phone daily over Wi-Fi”

    Restore Data from Google Drive:

    1. After you reboot your phone for the first time (or after a factory reset) you will be prompted to “Restore from HTC Backup”
    2. Tap the option and sign in with the desired backup account
    3. Access the history menu and select the desired backup
    4. Tap “Next”
    5. Sign in with your Google account and allow to connect to “Drive”
    6. Once the files have been restored, tap “Next” and if necessary, follow any additional on-screen steps to complete the process

    Create and Restore Local Backups

    Back Up Contacts to SD Card or Storage:

    1. Launch “Phone”
    2. Go to the “Phone” tab
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Manage contacts”
    4. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
    5. Choose to “Export to SD Card” or “Export to phone storage”
    6. Choose an account, and tap “Yes” if you wish to protect the file with a password
    7. Tap “OK” to confirm and create the backup file

    Restore Contacts from SD Card or Storage:

    1. Launch “People” and tap “Menu”
    2. Tap “Manage Contacts” > “Import / Export contacts”
    3. Choose to “Import from phone storage” or “Import from SD card”
    4. If needed, select an account and highlight the backup file
    5. Tap “OK”
    6. If the backup file is protected by a password, enter it and tap “OK”

    Back Up Messages:

    1. Open “Messages”
    2. Tap “Menu”
    3. Tap “Backup / Restore SMS”
    4. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS”
    5. Optionally, you can set a password for the backup file
    6. Lastly, enter a name for the file and tap “OK” to confirm

    Back Up Messages via Email:

    1. Launch “Messages”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Back up / Restore SMS”
    3. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS via email”
    4. Choose if you want to protect the backup file with a password
    5. Send the email and attachment to your own address

    NOTE: To restore messages, simply open the email, download the file attachment, and import it using “Messages”.

    Back Up Dictionaries:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Language & Keyboard”
    3. Tap “HTC Sense Input”
    4. Select “Personal dictionary” and tap “Menu”
    5. Tap “Back up to storage” or “Back up to email”
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Back Up / Restore Tasks:

    1. Open “Tasks”
    2. Access the task list and tap “Menu”
    3. Tap “Import / Export”
    4. Select to “Export to SD Card”

    NOTE: To restore tasks, launch “Tasks”, tap “Menu” > “Import / Export” and select “Import from SD card”
