    Enable Power Saver Mode:

    1. Open the apps drawer and launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Power” under “Personal”
    3. Tap “Power saver” and check the boxes associate with the power saving options you want to turn on while Power Saver Mode is active
    4. Tap the switch to enable “Power saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Options:

    NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap the switches associated with “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” to disable these features
    3. Under “Wireless & Networks”, tap “More”
    4. Tap “Mobile network sharing” and disable “Mobile Hotspot”
    5. For GPS options, go back to “Settings” and tap “Location”
    6. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”

    Use 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you want to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can do so by temporarily switching to 2G networks. To do this:

    1. Access “Settings”
    2. Tap “Mobile data” > “Network mode”
    3. Turn on “GSM only”

    Reduce Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “Display & Gestures”
    3. Tap “Brightness level” and disable “Automatic brightness” if necessary
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Go back to “Display & Gestures”
    6. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower timeout value such as 15 or 30 seconds

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Certain third party applications perform regular background processes, and as such they can affect battery life even when they are not in use. By disabling or uninstalling unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the apps drawer and launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Apps” under “Phone”
    3. Go to “Downloaded” and select the desired app
    4. Tap “Disable” to turn the app off
    5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By setting your apps / accounts to sync less data, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts & Sync”
    3. Tap an application to disable background sync
    4. For more sync options you can select an account type and account

    Keep the Software Up To Date:

    NOTE: Software updates can include improvements to battery life, and as such it’s recommended to keep your phone’s operating system up to date at all times. To verify if new updates are available for download:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “About”
    3. Tap “Software information”
    4. Tap “Check now” and if applicable, follow the on-screen instructions to download and apply new updates
