Sync iPhone Contacts With Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the Samsung device.

    1. Launch iTunes on the computer
    2. Connect the iPhone to the computer using the Lightning cable
    3. Once connected, click the iPhone in iTunes
    4. Go to the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With”
    5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
    6. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
    7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
    8. Once done, switch to the Samsung device, register the same Google account and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

    Share Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
    3. Sign in with your iCloud account
    4. Click “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
    5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
    6. Wait for the vCard file to be downloaded on the computer
    7. Once done, follow one of these steps:
      • Use the Internet browser on the computer to import the file to “Google Contacts”, or:
      • Connect the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) to your computer, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

    Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can use third party applications to transfer your iPhone contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to transfer and share contacts via email

    1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
    2. Launch the application
    3. Tap “Backup” to create a backup file containing your iPhone contacts
    4. After the backup file is done, tap “Email”
    5. Make sure the vCard backup file is attached to the email and send it to your own address
    6. Switch to the Samsung device and open the email
    7. Download the vCard attachment and import it using “Contacts”

    Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files without requiring a computer.

    1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
    2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the app on the Samsung device
    3. Open the app on both smartphones
    4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
    5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
    6. Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as “Receive” on the Samsung device or “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
