Sync iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: With iTunes installed on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with your Android phone.

    1. Open iTunes on the computer
    2. Connect the iPhone to the computer using the Lightning cable
    3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
    4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
    5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
    6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
    7. After the sync is done, switch to the HTC device and register the same Google account
    8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the HTC phone

    Sync Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
    3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
    4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
    5. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
      • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
      • Connect the HTC phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it using “People”

    Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

    1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
    2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
    3. Wait for the vCard file to be created and once done, tap “Email”
    4. Ensure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
    5. Switch to the HTC Desire, open the email and download the vCard attachment
    6. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “People”

    Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app on iOS and Android, which can be used to transfer contacts cross-platform through a peer-2-peer connection without requiring a computer.

    1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
    2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the app on the HTC device
    3. Launch the app on both handsets
    4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
    5. Select the contacts you want to share
    6. Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as “Receive” on the HTC device or “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
