    Turn On Power Saver Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Power”
    4. Tap “Power saver” and check the boxes next to the power saving options you want to enable
    5. Tap the “Power saver” switch to enable the option

    Reduce Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “Display & Gestures”
    3. Tap “Brightness level” and if necessary, disable “Automatic brightness”
    4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease screen luminosity
    5. Return to “Display & Gestures” and tap “Screen timeout”
    6. Select a lower timeout value such as 15 seconds

    Turn Off Connectivity Options:

    NOTE: By disabling connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS when unused, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to turn the features Off
    3. For more GPS options, scroll to and tap “Location”
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. For Hotspot options, return to “Settings”
    6. Then, tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Tap “Mobile network sharing” and turn off “Mobile Hotspot”

    Use 2G Temporarily:

    NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you want to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can temporarily switch to 2G networks to do so.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Mobile data”
    3. Tap “Network mode”
    4. Select “GSM only”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps / accounts to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts & Sync”
    3. Select the desired application to disable background sync for
    4. To access additional sync options, you can select an account type and account

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, and as such they affect battery life even when they are not in use. By turning off or removing unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch the app drawer and go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone” and tap “Apps”
    3. Access “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Disable” to turn it off
    5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements, and thus it’s recommended to keep the phone’s operating system up to date at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Phone”
    3. Tap “About” > “Software information”
    4. Tap “Check now” and, if applicable, follow the on-screen instructions to download and apply the updates
