    NOTE: You can visit this thread for instructions on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files on the LG X Max.

    Restore Application Data:

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down while viewing the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. If necessary, switch to the “General” tab
    4. Tap “Backup & reset”
    5. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
    6. Select the backup file you want to restore and tap “Start”
    7. When prompted with “Restored”, tap “Done”

    NOTE: You may be required to reboot your device in order for the restore process to complete.

    Restore Contacts from an SD Card Backup:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to the “General” tab and tap “Backup & reset”
    3. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
    4. Locate and select the SD card backup you want to restore
    5. Tap “Start”
    6. When prompted with “Restored”, tap “Done”

    NOTE: You may have to reboot your device to complete the restore.

    Restore Media Files on Your Phone:

    1. Open “Settings” and access the “General” tab
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Tap “Restore from backup”
    4. Locate and select the media backup files you want to restore and tap “Start”
    5. When prompted with “Restore completed”, tap “Restart”

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the LG X Max and your computer
    2. Enable “Media sync (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” either at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the desired media files or “.sbf” backup files
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
