    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google account
    5. Turn on “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restore automatically when signing in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Enable “Contacts” if necessary
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Alcatel to your computer via USB
    2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone storage
    4. Copy the desired media files and transfer them in the backup location on your PC storage
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Alcatel device and computer
    2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device form the USB cord
