    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. To back up account data, settings, passwords etc. to your Google account, turn on “Back up my data”
    5. To restore app data automatically the next time you sign in with your Google account, enable “Automatic Restore”

NOTE: Account data and settings will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts” and select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
    3. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the OnePlus 3T to your computer via USB
    2. Turn ON “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and use it to locate the media files on your phone
    4. Copy the files and transfer them in the backup location on the PC storage
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the OnePlus 3T and computer
    2. Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Finder on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC
    4. Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder they originate from
    5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the OnePlus from the USB cord
