My wife has an iPhone 5S with 8GB RAM and it is now a constant struggle to manage the storage as it is nearly full most of the time.

She is a very lightweight user (emails, texts, Whatsapp and a few photos)

Is it possible to free up storage by deleting some of the apps that Apple supply with iOS (and that she never uses!)????

I've tried the long press until the icons jiggle, but, the only ones with a 'x' to allow them to be deleted are the ones we've installed.

Or, if anybody has other ideas/tips we could try, please?
