    3. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Device”

    5. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    6. To decrease screen timeout duration, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling unused connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    3. Go to “Settings” for additional options

    Use 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type”

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps” and ensure “All Apps” is selected in the drop-down menu at the top
    4. Tap the desired application
    5. Tap “Force stop” to disable the app, or tap “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps / accounts to reduce sync, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts”
    4. Select an account to change its sync settings and reduce sync

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for OS updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available for download
    5. If available, follow the on-screen steps to download and apply the update(s). NOTE: The update process will require at least one reboot. Save any unsaved work before proceeding
