    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset”
    4. Sign in with your Google account if necessary
    5. Enable “Back up my data” to back up account and app data, settings, Wi-Fi passwords etc. to your Google account
    6. Turn “Automatic restore” ON to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Go to “Accounts”
    4. Sign in with your Google backup account if necessary, or select the desired account
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is enabled
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    3. Tap “Export to SD card”
    4. Select the desired backup location and rename the file, then tap “OK” when ready

    Back Up Media Files on the Phone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Photos”
    3. If this is the first time opening “Photos”, tap “Sign in” and follow the on-screen instructions. Then select to back up data over Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + mobile networks, and tap “Turn On”
    4. If this isn’t the first time accessing “Photos”, tap “Menu” > “Settings” > “Auto backup” and set the switch ON

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Kyocera Hydro Reach to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the files from the phone and transfer them in the desired backup location on the HDD
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac and visit https://www.android.com/filetransfer/
    2. Download the app on the Mac and open “androidfiletransfer.dmg”
    3. Drag “Android File Transfer” to “Applications” on the Mac
    4. Connect the Kyocera Hydro Reach to your Mac via USB
    5. Enable “Media sync (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    6. Launch “Android File Transfer” on the Mac
    7. Browse the phone storage to locate the media files, the drag > drop the files to create backups on the Mac storage
    8. Once done, drag the phone storage from the Mac’s desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject, and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
