    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Turn “Back up my data” On to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
    5. Turn On “Automatic Restore” to allow data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Tap an account type and select the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. If necessary, tick the “Contacts” check box
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: To restore contacts, sign in with the Google backup account and follow the on-screen prompts.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the BLU Advance 4.0 M to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media Device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media files on the phone storage
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer storage
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
    7. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files form a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the BLU smartphone to your computer via USB
    2. Turn “Media Device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” ON when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage and copy them
    5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
