    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If one of your apps doesn’t work as intended, or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these problems by clearing the app’s cache and/or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all personal data stored within the app will be deleted. This includes saved games, login and credit card information, profiles etc. To avoid losing data, clear ONLY the app’s cache.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access the “General” tab
    3. Tap “Apps” and go to “All
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Clear cache
    6. If clearing the cache didn’t solve the problems, you can tap “Clear data” > “Yes” (check WARNING above)

    Wipe the Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably etc. and you’re planning to factory reset your device, alternatively you can try wiping the phone’s cache partition. This can yield similar results to a factory reset without losing personal data.

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “General
    3. Tap “Storage
    4. After the phone finishes calculating data, tap “Cached data” > “Yes

NOTE: If wiping the cache partition didn’t help, you can visit this thread for instructions on how to reset the device.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: If you have installed a third party app that causes issues and prevents you from uninstalling it, you can remove the app from within Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled.

    1. On the home screen, press and hold “Power
    2. At the pop-up, tap and hold “Power off
    3. When prompted to “Restart in Safe Mode”, tap “OK
    4. Once the phone restarts, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower-left area of the home screen
    5. Go to “Settings
    6. Access the “General” tab
    7. Tap “Apps” and swipe to “Downloaded
    8. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK
    9. After you have removed the app, you can exit Safe Mode by restarting the device as you would do normally
