    Back Up Application Data:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data

    Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Access the “General” tab
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup
    4. Tap “Backup & restore” > “Back up data
    5. Tap “SD Card” and select the contact(s) you want to back up
    6. Tap “Done” when prompted with “Backup completed

    Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup
    4. Tap “Backup & restore” > “Back up data
    5. Select “LG Cloud” and sign in with your LG account
    6. Turn “Personal data” ON and disable the other options
    7. Expand “Personal data” and ensure “Contacts” is checked
    8. Tap “Start” > “Done

    Back Up Media Files on the Phone Storage:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “General
    3. Access “Backup & Reset” > “LG Backup
    4. Tap “Backup & Restore” and enable “Media data” while disabling the other options
    5. Tap “Start” > “Done

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the LG K8 (2017) and computer
    2. Turn ON “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
