Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the HTC U Ultra and computer
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media Device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the computer storage
    4. Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories
    5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access “Personalize”
    4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “Apply” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “People”
    3. Select the desired contact and tap “Ringtone”
    4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”

    Change the Notification Alert Sound:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Sounds & Notifications”
    3. Tap “Notification sound”
    4. Select the desired notification alert
    5. Tap “Apply” to confirm
