    Back Up & Restore Application Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up personal app data to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically upon the next login with the Google backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts
    3. Select the account type and account you want to use
    4. Enable “Contacts” if necessary and tap “Menu
    5. Tap “Sync now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Alcatel A3 XL to your PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and use it to locate the media files on your phone
    4. Copy and transfer the files to your desired backup location on the computer storage
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Alcatel A3 XL to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media backup files
    4. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory from which they originate
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
