    To Restore Data, Contacts, and Media Files from Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), you can use a pro Samsung data recovery tool--Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android to do the data recovery. You just need to connect it to computer via usb cable, open the tool.

    NOTE: For instructions on how you can back up data, contacts, and media files on the Samsung Galaxy A7, visit this thread.

    Restore Contacts form the SD Card:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Applications”
    4. Tap “Contacts”
    5. Access “Import / Export contacts”
    6. Select to “Import” > “SD Card”
    7. Choose to import a single or multiple vCard files
    8. If needed, select the vCard file you want to restore
    9. Lastly, choose to restore contacts on “Device storage” or sync them with “Google”

    Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “User and Backup” and tap “Accounts”
    3. Access “Google”
    4. Tap your email address or username at the top
    5. Ensure “Contacts” is checked, then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Restore Media Files from an SD Card:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Launch “My Files”
    3. Scroll to “Local storage” and tap “SD Card”
    4. Tap “More” > “Edit”
    5. Tick the boxes next to the media files you want to restore
    6. Tap “More” > “Move”
    7. Choose “Device storage” and navigate to and select the desired target folder. Alternatively, tap “Create folder”
    8. Tap “Move here”

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Finder on the Mac
    4. Locate the media file backups on the Mac storage
    5. Copy and paste the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
    2. Turn “Media device” / “File Transfer” ON at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open Kies on the Mac and access “Back up / restore”
    4. Access the “Restore” tab
    5. Tick the boxes next to “Music”, “Photos” and other media file types you want to restore. You can also tap “Select all”
    6. Click “Restore” and follow the on-screen prompts
    7. Once the restore is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject the phone storage
    8. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
