    Back Up App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data and settings to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked and then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Alcatel A3 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Alcatel A3 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
