    Restore Applications:

    1. Sign in with the Google or Samsung account used for initial backup
    2. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
    3. Under "User and Backup" tap "Accounts"
    4. Select "Samsung" or "Google" and tap your email address at the top of the screen
    5. Tap "Sync all"
    6. Press "Back" to return to the "User and Backup" screen
    7. Tap "Backup and reset"
    8. Under "Backup and Restore" check the boxes associated with "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore"

    Restore Contacts

    From a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Sign in with the Samsung or Google account used for backing up your contacts
    2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "User and Backup"
    3. Tap "Accounts" and select either "Google" or "Samsung"
    4. Tap your "email address" at the top of the screen
    5. If necessary, mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts"
    6. Tap "Sync now"

    From the SD Card:

    1. If necessary, insert the SD card containing the backup file
    2. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
    3. Go to "Applications" > "Contacts"
    4. Tap "Menu" > "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
    5. Tap "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card"
    6. Follow any additional on-screen prompts to complete the process

    Restore Media Files

    From the SD Card:

    1. Launch the "My Files" app
    2. Tap "All files "> "SD Card"
    3. Press "Menu" > "Select" and check the boxes next to the media files you want to restore
    4. Press "Menu" > "Move"
    5. Select "Device storage" and tap "Move here"
    6. To restore the files in a different location, tap the folder's name or "Create folder"

    From a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Galaxy E7 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and ensure your phone is connected as a "Media device (MTP)"
    3. Click "Open device to view files" in the AutoPlay window on the PC and navigate to the SD card directory
    4. Open another Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up files on the HDD
    5. Copy the files and transfer them to the desired location on your phone's SD card
    6. Once the process is done, click the "Mass Storage Device" icon located in the system tray and eject the phone's storage

    From a Mac Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the E7 and your Mac
    2. Ensure the phone is connected as a "Media Device"
    3. Launch Kies on your Mac and click the "Back up / restore" tab
    4. From the "Restore" tab check the boxes next to "Music", "Photos" and other types of files to restore
    5. Click "Restore" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process
    6. Once done, eject the phone (drag the virtual drive icon to "Trash") and safely disconnect it from the Mac
