    I like to backup my Samsung phone data to my personal computer, the tool I'm using is Coolmuster Android Assistant. The backup files can be managed and restored, it makes it easier for me to backup and restore my phone.

    I am a Samsung user , as for how to recover Samsung data , we can use the Samsung data recovery tool . or Android data recovery tool , they are good at recoverring lost or deleted data from Android phone , including Samsung , Htc , Sony ,Motorola .

    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer on the home screen
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your Google account
    5. Turn on “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored when reinstalling or when signing in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts on a Google or Samsung Account:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
    3. In case you have contacts on the phone that are not synced with an account, tap “move device contacts to”
    4. Open “Settings” and tap “Accounts”
    5. Choose an account to sync contacts with, then tap “More” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sigh in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Visit Samsung Smart Switch?
    3. Click “Samsung Smart Switch for PC”
    4. Follow the on-screen steps to install the application on the computer
    5. Once done, connect the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro to your computer via USB
    6. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area on the phone
    7. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone
    8. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC storage
    9. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device form the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Follow the first 6 steps above
    2. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    3. Transfer the files back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
    4. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and install the app on the PC
    4. Connect the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro to your Mac via USB
    5. Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    6. On the Mac, launch Kies and go to the “Back up / Restore” tab
    7. Access the “Backup” tab and thick the boxes associated with “Photos”, “Music”, and other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup”
    9. After the process is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive form the desktop and dropping it into the “Trash can”
    10. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Follow the first 6 steps above
    2. Access the “Restore” tab
    3. Tick the boxes next to the types of media files you want to restore
    4. Click “Restore” and follow the on-screen steps
    5. After the restore is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
