Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy J7 Perx to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
    4. Copy and transfer the desired files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps below.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
    2. Head down to Samsung Kies
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and follow the on-screen prompts to install the app on the Mac
    4. Connect the Samsung phone to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “Media device” / “File transfer” on the phone
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac
    7. Click the “Folder” icon associated with “External memory” or “Internal memory”
    8. Launch the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files on the Mac storage
    9. Drag and drop the desired files into Kies to start the transfer
    10. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging its virtual drive from the desktop and dropping it into the trash can
    11. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
    3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” > “Ringtone”
    4. Tap “Add ringtone”
    5. Select “Sound picker” and choose to utilize the option “Always” or “Just once”
    6. Select the desired audio files and tap “Done”

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Under “Device”, tap “Sounds and notifications”
    3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” > “Ringtone”
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “Back” to confirm

    Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be linked with contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Select the contact whose ringtone you want to change
    3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK” > “Save”

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Sounds & notifications”
    4. Under “Sounds”, tap “Ringtones and sound”
    5. Select the notification type and the desired notification sound
    6. Tap “Back” to confirm
