    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, passwords, and settings to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, passwords, and settings to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google account or when reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you wish to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Maxwest device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files back on the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin or the “Media” directory
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
