    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access “Settings
    3. Scroll to “Personal
    4. Tap “Backup & reset
    5. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your Google account
    6. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored when you sign in with your Google account or reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Lava A44 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the desired media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device form the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Lava A44 to your PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate and copy the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files back on the phone, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
