    2. Drag the “Brightness” slider towards the left to decrease brightness
    3. Launch “Settings”
    4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    5. Enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    6. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when unused, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth”, “Wi-Fi” and “Location” (GPS) quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Launch “Settings” and go to “Location” for additional GPS options
    4. Tap “mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. To disable hotspot, return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and set the feature OFF

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Under “Wireless & networks” tap “More”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. As such, by disabling or removing unused third party apps from the device, you might improve battery life.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Under “Device”, tap “Apps”
    3. Ensure “All apps” is selected in the drop-down menu
    4. Select the desired app
    5. To disable the app, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts/apps, you may improve battery life.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Select an account and change the available settings to reduce sync

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements and as such it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen steps to download and apply the update. NOTE: The update process will require at least one reboot
