    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, passwords, and settings to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the smartphone to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the computer
    5. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
