    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your Google account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically when signing in with the Google account or reinstalling apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and account for contact syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the desired media files on the phone storage
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect it from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Lava device to your computer
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media file backups on the computer
    5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
