    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or upon reinstalling apps

    Back Up and Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the account you want to use for contact backup
    5. Check the “Contacts” tick box
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: You can restore the contacts the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the directories from where they originate
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB
