    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up settings, app data, and Wi-Fi passwords to your account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or logging in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contacts syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate and copy the media file backups on the computer
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
