    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can improve the phone’s battery life in the long run by disabling the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use – such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS .

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Access “Preferred network type”

    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap the desired account
    5. Change the available sync options to reduce sync

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps from the phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Tap “Apps” under “Device”
    3. Ensure “All apps” is selected from the drop-down menu
    4. Tap the desired application
    5. To disable the app, tap “Disable” / “Force stop”
    6. To remove the app from the device, tap “Uninstall”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can include battery life improvements and as such, it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available for download
    5. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update (NOTE: the update process will require at least one reboot)
