    Back Up and Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or when you reinstall apps

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Accounts
    3. Select an account
    4. Tick the “Contacts” check box if necessary
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy the media files form the phone storage
    5. Paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or form the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
