    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable” Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, app data, and settings to your Google backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored when signing in with your Google backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
    3. Tap an account type and the account you want to use for syncing
    4. Tick the “Contacts” check box
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you log in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files On a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate your media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
