    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, Wi-Fi passwords and settings to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account to use for the backup
    4. Tick the “Contacts” check box
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now” to begin the process

    NOTE: You can restore contacts the next time you log in with the backup account and by syncing the account data – including contacts – with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the files in the backup location on the computer
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin or the “Media” directory
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
