    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords and settings to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow data to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Tap the account you want to use for contact backup
    4. Ensure the “Contacts” check box is ticked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media file backups located on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files back to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin or the “Media” directory
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect it from the USB port
