How do I backup and reset my LG X power?


It's always smart to backup your personal phone data so that you don't lose it. Here's how to backup and reset the data saved on your LG X power.

How to backup
-On the home screen, navigate to Settings > General > Backup and Reset > LG Backup

How to reset
On the home screen, navigate to Settings > General > Backup and Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone

Always copy your data files before resetting

Before you reset your phone, it's a good idea to make a copy of your important files. Resetting can sometimes delete files saved to your phone's internal storage, so copy your important backup files from the LG Backup folder to a computer or external storage device. Your backup files are the ones saved with the file extension

Back Up App Data:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Access the “General” tab
3. Tap “Backup & reset”
4. Enable “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Access the “General” tab
3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
4. Tap “Save and restore” > “Back up data”
5. Select “SD Card” or “Internal storage” under “Back up to”
6. Tap “Personal data” > “Start” > “OK”
7. After the backup is finished, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files on the Phone Storage:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Go to the “General” tab
3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
4. Tap “Back up data” > “Save & restore”
5. Select “Media data” and deselect the non-media options
6. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the media files you want to back up
7. Tap “Start” > “OK”

Back Up Media Files To a Computer:

1. Connect the LG device to the computer via USB
2. Enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
4. On the phone storage, locate and copy the media or backup files ending with the “.sbf” extension
5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
