    4. Tap “Display”
    5. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    6. Tap “Sleep” for timeout duration and select a lower value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features OFF when unused, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth, to conserve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen using two fingers
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Launch “Settings”
    4. Tap “Location” for GPS options, then tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”

    6. Tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and disable the feature

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve the battery until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile network”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type”
    5. Turn “2G” ON

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can reduce the amount of data synced by your accounts in order to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Select an account type and the account whose sync settings you want to change

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Apps” and go to “All apps”
    4. Select the desired application
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Disable” / “Force stop”
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can include improvements to battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. TO check for new updates:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates” and check if a new update is available for download
    4. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply available updates (NOTE: the update process will require at least one reboot)
